The Mendel Superstar

The beginning of February found "A" becoming a Mendel Elementary SUPERSTAR.  She earned this title by being "trustworthy".  The story that she gave for becoming a superstar is as follows:  "A" and two of her classmates had asked to get a drink of water during class time.  When Mrs. D, their teacher, allowed them to go, the three little girls left the classroom, got their drink of water from the fountain and  went straight back to the classroom.  To the teacher, this showed trustworthiness and earned them a superstar.  As a superstar,  "A" got to invite Doug and I to join her for lunch.

Cafeteria Fish Sticks.  Yummy!

After lunch, "A" received her certificate.

And posed by her star.  She will remain a Superstar for about a month or until the next crop of Superstars are chosen.

Congratulations "A"!  We are so proud of you!
